Two change roles at Plaid Cymru Gwynedd

Councillor Elin Walker Jones, Glyder, Bangor has been elected the new Chair of Plaid Cymru's Gwynedd Group, as Morfa Nefyn Councillor, Sian Hughes stands down to develop her nursing career.

"We are grateful to Councillor Sian Hughes for all her work in recent months," said Plaid Cymru's Gwynedd Leader, Councillor Dyfrig Siencyn.

"She has developed into the role, gained experience and offered a strong voice during her time as chair of our group. She will continue to be a great representative for Morfa Nefyn, as she develops her nursing career. We are grateful to Siân for her work."

"We welcome the new Chair, Bangor Councillor Elin Walker Jones. She is an effective Councillor with a keen interest in the language and culture and works as a children with learning disabilities and autism psychologist.

"We look forward to working with Elin and gain from her experience and expertise during the coming months."

Elin Walker Jones was unanimously elected to the role and takes on the position with immediate effect.
